I am happy to report that our membership is on the rise. The membership report for May 1, 2006 listed the Mid-Pacific Region membership at 189. As of March 1, 2007 it has risen to 228. an increase of 39 members.

N O T E: Please remember to renew your membership before May 1, 2007. A 5 year membership is $110. A one year regular membership is $25. If you chose the 5 year option, you will save $15. A good deal for those of us who forget to renew each year.

2007 Winter Board of Directors Meeting

On Feb. 16-18 the TICA Board of Directors held their Winter meeting in Harlingen, TX. All board members were present with the exception of Donna Gonyea, NE Director.

I would like to tell you about a few of the items we discussed.

1. I am proud to announce that Jeff & Heather Roberts were advanced to Provisional Allbreed Judge. Congratulations!

2. “Value Added Registration” - Effective May 1, 2007
A payment of $15.00 ($20.00 for non-members) at the time of registration or transfer of ownership prior to being shown as an adult, to automatically secure all titles, Champion / Champion through Supreme Grand Champion / Supreme Grand Alter / Supreme Grand Master earned by that cat. This is in addition to the regular registration fee. This is a great savings for members/exhibitors. Plus you will not have the worry and stress of remembering to claim titles.

3. Effective May 1, 2007, Non-members will pay $2 more than active members for all registrations services. Hopefully this action will help increase our membership base.

4. The Spring 2007 BOD meeting will be help in Seattle, WA on May 18 – 20, 2007

5. The Toyger was accepted for Championship effective May1.

Our region has a strong online presence with an active mailing list and a website that lists our regional clubs and members, as well as our region's show schedule. Past and present Regional Awards are also listed along with many photographs from past shows.
